Core Policy
Brake Calipers
Your old brake calipers are your cores. We can rebuild your own cores or you can purchase calipers that are already rebuilt. If you purchase rebuilt calipers, there is a core charge which is refunded to you after we receive your old core(s). If we receive your cores prior to your purchase of rebuilt calipers, there is no charge. In all cases, the core must be in rebuildable condition, as described below, in order for you to get credit. The core charge is not refunded if the cores are not acceptable to us, or if you do not wish to send us cores.
The core charge for each brake caliper is $40. Old pistons, pads, bolts, etc. are not required for a refund. The 2 basic parts required for a core refund include:
1. Left caliper half
2. Right caliper half
Previously sleeved brake calipers are acceptable and not automatically rejected. Partial credits may be given. About 25% of brake calipers are rejected for some type of defect. Typical defects include "groundaways," broken bleeders, welded and/or silver brazed sections, and imported or non-Delco castings.
Trailing Arm Assembly
Your old trailing arms are your cores. We can rebuild your own cores or you can purchase trailing arms that are already rebuilt. If you purchase rebuilt ones, there is a core charge which is refunded to you after we receive your old core(s). If we receive your cores prior to your purchase of rebuilt ones, there is no charge. In all cases, the core must be in rebuildable condition, as described below, in order for you to get credit. The core charge is not refunded if the cores are not acceptable to us, or if you do not wish to send us cores.
The core charge for each trailing arm assembly is $295 for 1965 - 1982, and $240 for 1963 - 1934. Old bearings, races, rotors, seals, etc. are not required for a refund. The 4 basic parts required for a core refund include:
1. caliper support
2. bearing support
3. trailing arm
4. drive spindle
Partial credits may be given. About 30% of all trailing arm assemblies have some type of defect. Typically defects include rusted arms, cracked supports, damages spindles, or bent trailing arms.
Differential
The core charge for each differential is $495. Partial credits may be given. About 20% of all differentials have some type of defect.
Your old differential is your core. We can rebuild your own cores or you can purchase a differential that is already rebuilt. If you purchase a rebuilt differential, there is a core charge which is refunded to you after we receive your old core. If we receive your core prior to your purchase of rebuilt differential, there is no charge. In all cases, the core must be in rebuildable condition, as described above, in order for you to get credit. The core charge is not refunded if the cores are not acceptable to us, or if you do not wish to send us cores.
Core charge for one pair of side yokes is $50. Core charge for rear cover is $50.
Front Suspension
Core charge for upper and lower A-arms is $100.
Master Cylinder
Core charge for master cylinder is $10.
Strut Rods
Core charge for strut rods is $35.
Drive Shafts
Core charge for drive shafts and half shafts is $60.
When you ship us your core:
Parts are heavy; pack them carefully, securely wrapped in newspaper in a strong, well-taped box. Precision Engineering, LLC does not pay for shipping your core to us.

OUR WARRANTY
Our obligation under this WARRANTY is limited to making good at our shop any part which shall be returned, freight prepaid, and upon our inspection it is determined to be covered under this WARRANTY.
Brake caliper......................... Lifetime.
Trailing arm assemblies......... Five (5) years.
Differential............................ Three (3) years.
All other parts....................... One (1) year.
Our obligation under this WARRANTY is to repair or replace part. We assume no liability for incidental or consequential damages including cost for diagnosis, cost of replacement, installation labor, loss of vehicle use, loss of time, inconvenience, or any other expenses.
The PURCHASER is responsible to:
1) provide copy of original invoice
2) call us for a RAN and place on outside of package.
3) ship parts prepaid to address above
4) pay for all return shipping and handling charges; $10 minimum.
The WARRANTY does not apply to our product or any part thereof which has been subject to accident, negligence, alteration, abuse, misuse, disassembly, or racing applications. Improperly installed components are not covered under this WARRANTY.
Unauthorized returns will void the WARRANTY.
A Return Authorization Number (RAN) and a copy of the original invoice are required prior to returning parts.
1) Completed installation must be tested in a safe area to verify proper operation.
2) The responsibility and cost for installation of all goods shipped shall be that of the PURCHASER. Goods shipped by PRECISION ENGINEERING, LLC must be installed by competent and experienced personnel, which shall be paid for by the PURCHASER.
3) NO cash or credit card refunds, store credit only. Core refunds shall be by check or credit card.
4) All goods will be shipped FOB factory. All shipments shall be the responsibility of the PURCHASER and shall be at the PURCHASER'S risk and expense. All claims for damage or shortage must be given in writing to PRECISION ENGINEERING, LLC and the common carrier within seven (7) calendar days of delivery.
5) In no event shall PRECISION ENGINEERING, LLC be liable for economic loss, indirect or otherwise, arising out of any breach or the invoice. PURCHASER'S remedies shall be limited to repair or replacement of good shipped by PRECISION ENGINEERING, LLC.
6) Please note that PRECISION ENGINEERING, LLC cannot be held liable for third party expenses beyond our control, including but not limited to installation charges, storage charges, towing charges, loss of beneficial use, and professional expertise.
7) The PURCHASER agrees to and shall pay all expensed incurred by PRECISION ENGINEERING, LLC in collecting money due from the PURCHASER, including reasonable attorney's fees.
8) PURCHASER agrees to pay interest at a rate of 1.5% monthly, or the maximum legal interest as allowed in the PURCHASER'S state, on all overdue money to PRECISION ENGINEERING, LLC.
9) Failure of PRECISION ENGINEERING, LLC to enforce any of these terms shall not be construed as a waiver of any PRECISION ENGINEERING, LLC rights hereunder.
